What’s the best day you’ve ever experienced? Chances are, it was tied into something extraordinary. In THE UNBREAKABLE BOY—the latest movie from Kingdom Story Company now in theaters—we meet a boy who reminds us that every day can be the best day of your life!
As producer Peter Facinelli says, “The world needs this movie.”
This film is based on the true story of Scott and Teresa LeRette and their remarkable, exuberant, upbeat son Austin. Although Austin is diagnosed with autism and brittle bone disease, these challenges do not define him; daily delight and joy do!
“THE UNBREAKABLE BOY is a story about this unquenchable human spirit coming together as a family,” producer Kevin Downes shares with Alita Reynolds on the Faith Fan Film podcast. “It’s a story of unity. It’s a story of bravery. It’s a story of overcoming obstacles when they just seem insurmountable. What this is, actually, is a love story.”
Zachary Levi, known for Shazam, American Underdog, Tangled and more, plays Austin’s father. He too joined Alita for the FFF Pod.
“Scott is on a journey of accepting and loving himself and the life God has given him,” Zach says. “He’s fighting it, and God is using every ounce of that to bring him to his knees and say, ‘Life is what I am bringing to you so that you can learn and grow and become a better version of yourself.’”
Jacob Laval, who plays Austin, also shared his enthusiasm for the film.
“My favorite scenes were definitely the flying scene and doing different camping activities,” said Jacob. “I really bonded with everyone: Zach, Peter, Gavin. It was really fun.”
