Do you think you know the story of America? You may want to think again after you listen to the Faith Fan Film Podcast featuring filmmaker Tim Mahoney, the director and producer of THE AMERICAN MIRACLE

Tim is known for “The Patterns of Evidence” series of documentaries. Fathom Entertainment will have his powerful new documentary in theaters June 9-11.

Based on the book “The American Miracle” by Michael Medved, Tim says the movie is “the story of the providential hand of God guiding events that are recorded in history. The (movie’s) subtitle is ‘Our Nation is No Accident.’ There’s a presence of God that came into these situations and time after time saved the Americans from being destroyed by the British.”

Tim continues, “George Washington was used as the main story line. When he was a young man, he was in the battle of Monongahela. He was shot at multiple times and had bullet holes through his clothing. Almost all the officers were killed or injured except for one—George Washington. There is a providence that protected him.”

With a cast of nearly 90 actors as well as close to 400 extras, the film reenacts numerous battles and events from 1750 to 1826.

Academy Award® winner Richard Dreyfuss joins with Pat Boone, Kevin Sorbo, and singer/songwriter Nicole C. Mullen as some of the familiar faces featured in THE AMERICAN MIRACLE.

The Native Americans that are in the film are the actual descendants of the Native Americans that were in the battle,” Tim shares.

Tim and crew filmed “up and down the East Coast. We would go to the actual location where a battle would be,” he says. “It was the first time they ever had a motion picture film inside Mount Vernon. We were able to film at George Washington’s desk.”
