So it\u2019s fitting debut day for a brand-new series that your kids are absolutely going to love\u2014any day of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THE DEAD SEA SQUIRRELS<\/strong> is the new animated series from Mike Nawrocki, the co-creator of VeggieTales\u2014and the voice of Larry the Cucumber. You can watch it now on the subscription-steaming service <a href=\"https:\/\/gominno.com\/\">Minno<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mike, the man who brought you \u201cSilly Songs With Larry,\u201d brings to life&nbsp; 2,000-year-old squirrels named Merle and Pearl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSo we have two squirrels from the first century alive in the 21st century who help (their new friend) Michael and his friends as they go through problems that 10-year-old kids go through,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qk8I5bx_udA&amp;list=PL8J4N4xc-mIaLl-sC6bNFobN3aFoXq_JU\">Mike told Alita Reynolds on the Faith Film Fan Podcast.<\/a> The squirrels share \u201cstories from the New Testament and the life of Jesus and the disciples.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The animated series is based on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tyndale.com\/search?author=Mike%20Nawrocki\">Mike\u2019s young reader book series<\/a> of the same name. The 12-book series birthed the 13-episode first season of <strong>THE DEAD SEA SQUIRRELS<\/strong>. Each episode is about 30-minutes long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think grade school kids are going to really appreciate this. I think younger preschool kids will also like it, but it&#8217;s not necessarily a preschool show,\u201d Mike says. \u201cIt&#8217;s more geared toward a little bit older grade school kids.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Music plays a big part in the program as well, helping shepherd Micheal, his friends, and viewers back to biblical times with Merle and Pearl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMatthew West has joined us. Ellie Holcomb, Mac Powell, just really amazing singers that have graciously come on board to be part of the project,\u201d Mike says. \u201cIt\u2019s been amazing to see how God has orchestrated this whole thing and put it together in a way that I could never have dreamed of or imagined. But it&#8217;s just really, really neat to see it all come together!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Want to learn more?
