The Bible Comes to Network TV

Written By: Bob Gordon

We’ve seen The Chosen and House of David become the most-viewed programs on Amazon’s streaming service. Starting this Sunday, faith-focused programming arrives on network television!

THE FAITHFUL: Women of the Bible kicks off a three-week run on FOX this Sunday, March 22 at 8 p.m. EDT / 7 p.m. CDT. The final two episodes are on Palm Sunday (March 29) and Easter Sunday (April 5).

THE FAITHFUL is based on the biblical account of five women from the book of Genesis: Sarah, Hagar, Rebekah, Leah, and Rachel.

Filmed in Italy, the show stars Minnie Driver as Sarah, along with Jeffrey Donovan (Abraham) and Natacha Karam (Hagar).

The producers say THE FAITHFUL is about discovering and losing love, the challenges of marriage, the joys and heartbreak of children, confronting temptation, and finding faith.

You can watch the trailer here.

Each of the three episodes is 2-hours long and airs on FOX. The episodes will be available on Hulu the day after they air.
