Lifetime is reaching out to you, Faith Film Fan! The network is potentially ushering in a new era as four faith films are set to debut on Saturday nights this summer. Each of their new movies portray women who overcome unfathomable hardship through their faith.
Where did this focus come from? Lifetime says it’s a direct result of their audience asking for more stories of faith, hope, and encouragement!
Their 4-week faith-film showcase begins Saturday, July 19 and runs through August 9. The different films star Chrissy Metz (who starred in the theatrical faith film, BREAKTHROUGH), Alexa PenaVega (the SPY KIDS veteran who can be seen on PureFlix), Kat Graham, and Paula Patton.
Not only is this an interesting venture for Lifetime, but it also speaks to the wider trend we’ve been seeing: the increasing success of faith films and series now starting to impact mainstream media outlets.
