The Wonder Project launched with great fanfare—and robust financial backing—in 2023. Jon Erwin—previously of the Erwin Brothers and Kingdom Story Company—partnered with studio executive Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten to start the endeavor.
Together with an impressive team, they’ve embarked on a journey to tell epic stories on screens of all sizes.
House of David, which Erwin created and directs (along with Jon Gunn), is the initial offering from Wonder.
The studio has announced a number of other upcoming projects, including The Bread Winner, a comedy starring Nate Bargatze; Reba McEntire’s The All-Girl Filling Station’s Last Reunion; and Season 2 of House of David among other projects.
But perhaps most notably, the Wonder Project recently announced it will be launching its own subscription service, available only with Amazon Prime Video. (In other words, you need both your Prime subscription plus $8.99 a month to watch season 2 of David.)
In an email to their fans, the Wonder Project said their “premium streaming subscription (is) launching this fall on Amazon Prime Video—featuring 100+ curated titles and exclusive Wonder originals.”
You can read more about the new streaming service in this Variety article.
So … lots going on with the Wonder Project these days. Our question: are you willing to add another subscription service to be able to continue watching House of David plus all of the additional offerings?
Let us know in Comments:
- How many streaming services you currently subscribe to (and which ones)?
- How likely are you to add the Wonder Project to that list?
