Bringing Back THE BLIND In Honor of Phil

Written By: Bob Gordon

THE BLIND was a big hit when Fathom released it in theaters in 2023. Following the passing of Phil Robertson in May of this year, a special edition of the movie is returning to theaters for five days over Labor Day Weekend—Sunday, August 31 through Thursday, September 4.

In addition to the original movie, THE BLIND: A Phil Robertson Tribute includes an exclusive bonus tribute from the Robertson family to their patriarch. The movie tells the origin story of Phil and Miss Kay.

Producer Zach Dasher, Phil’s nephew, calls the movie “an incredible story of love and restoration that changed our family forever.”

Willie Robertson, Phil’s son and an executive producer of the movie, adds, “Without what happens in THE BLIND, there would be no dynasty. We made this movie so people would know that if you’ve got troubles, there’s a way out.”

So, knowing this, the Faith Film Fan blog has two questions for you:

  • Did you see THE BLIND when it was in theaters in 2023?
  • Are you planning to see THE BLIND: A Phil Robertson Tribute when it’s in theaters over Labor Day weekend?

Let us know your answers in the comments section. And if you did see it in 2023, what did you like most about the story?
